Friday Night Fights Quick Pick

Victor Cayo vs. Emmanuel Taylor: Yet again ESPN provides fans with a reason to stay in on Friday night.  That reason is Victor Cayo fighting Emmanuel Taylor in a 10 round fight in the city by the Atlantic.  The reason this fight is so compelling is because a knockout is ever so possible.  All three of Cayo's career losses have come from a knockout, and Taylor is a strong puncher with 11 knockouts in 16 fights.  But Cayo is a slick boxer who fights with his hands below his waist, almost taunting his opponents to come in for the kill.  His career record is 31-3 with 22 knockouts, and Taylor holds a record of 16-1 with 11 knockouts.  But Taylor is only 22 years old and has fought primarily in Maryland, which isn't known as a boxing hotbed.  On the other side of the ring will be Cayo who has fought many top fighters including; Nat Campbell, Lamont Peterson, and Marcos Maidana, all three fights were also all of Cayo's defeats.  But against lesser foes Cayo has always come out on top, which could be bad news for Taylor come Friday night.  There is a good chance Cayo gets knocked out cold, but he should be able to out slick his much greener counterpart.  I expect to see Cayo get the unanimous decision.
