Friday Night Fights Quick Pick

Billy Dib vs. Evgeny Gradovich: Like almost every fight that ESPN puts on, this should be an exciting one.  It will be for 12 round fight Billy Dib's featherweight title.  Dib has only fought in the U.S. a handful of times, gaining a reputation as an unwatchable fighter, mostly due to his running style.  However he has said that since he last U.S. fight he has revamped his style and will now be much more aggressive.  Dib is promoted by rapper 50 Cent, so expecat an ellaborate ring entrance.  He has an impressive record of 35-1 with 21 knockouts, but all of those wins have come against no name fighters.  Evgeny Gradovich is far less experienced as a professional fighter.  His record is 15-0 with 8 knockouts, also against no name fighters, but he has a storied amateur career amassing over 100 victories.  He is also trained by Robert Garcia, who, in recent years has shown himself to be on of the premiere trainers in the sport.  He is often called the Mexican Russion so he definately comes to fight and doesn't do any running.  This should be an extremely close fight that goes the distance.  It is very difficult to pick against a Garcia trained fighter, especially one with such a strong amateur backround, but Dib should prove tonight that as of now he is the better professional fighter.  I am picking Billy Dib to win a majority decision.
