Friday Night Fights Quick Pick

Kevin Bizier vs. Nate Campbell: This fight is another battle of youth vs. experience.  Bizier is is 28 years old and is an up and coming Canadian prospect with a record of 19-0 with an outstanding 13 knockouts.  While Campbell is now 40 years old and is nowhere near the fighter he once was.  Although his career never really got to the level he might have hoped, because whenever he faced a top level boxer he lost which is why his record stands at 36-9-1.  But fights against top level talent has given him a ton of ring experience.  He has fought Joel Casamayor, Juan Diaz, Tim Bradley, Victor Ortiz, and Danny Garcia all of whom are way better than anyone Bizier has ever stepped into the ring with.  But experience can't always make up for fadeing skills.  And fadeing skills could be dangerous against a power puncher like Bizier.  Most of Bizier's knockouts have come within the first few rounds which goes to show just how powerful a puncher he is.  The knock against him, besides lack of strong competition, is that he has only had one 12 round fight so far in his career.  That means he has never really been tested in the deep rounds.  If Campbell can stick and move throughout the fight and take Bizier into the deep water there is a chance he may be able to drown him.  But it's hard to envision Campbell withstanding the barrage of punches that Bizier will be throwing.  This fight could send the 40 year old Campbell into retirement, and send Bizier into bigger fights.  I am picking Bizier to get the knockout victory in the 7th round.
