BREAKING NEWS

Yet another injury will postpone a good fight.  This time it was caused from a broken thumb suffered by Johnathon Banks.  He was scheduled to fight February 16th on the Broner/Rees undercard in a rematch with Seth Mitchell, who he knocked out in the 3rd round of their first fight.  It was a major upset because Mitchell was seen as the #1 American heavyweight prospect going into the fight.  HBO will probably replace that televised fight with a super middleweight title eliminator between Sakio Bika and Nikola Sjekloca.  The winner of that bout will be named the mandatory challenger of champion Andre Ward.  Although it won't be as exciting as seeing Banks/Mitchell II, it should prove to be a solid fight.
