BREAKING NEWS

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. who last fought September 15th against Sergio Martinez has been suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.  This suspension was handed down after Chavez Jr. tested positive for marijuana during his post-fight drug test.  He will be suspended for 9 months and fined $900,000.  Chavez Jr. told the commission that he took marijuana to ease his stress leading up to the fight.  This is a big blow to a young fighter trying to stay active in the ring.  But a rematch with Martinez should still be on the horizon.
