HBO Quick Picks

Robert Guerrero vs. Andre Berto: Toughest fight I have had to pick in a long time.  Both men are elite fighters who have fought elite talent in the past.  Berto has a questionable chin but a ton of power.  Guerrero doesn't have much power but is a very slick, skilled southpaw boxer and has already dismantled other sluggers with his boxing prowess.  Berto hasn't fought since September 2011 when he was suspended for using PED's.  This has been the longest layoff of his career and I expect it to show.  I have Robert Guerrero winning the fight by unanimous decision.  This should be a great fight.

Carlos Quintana vs. Keith Thurman: This fight could prove to be better than the main event.  I'm expecting an all out brawl.  It will come down to the experience against youth.  Quintana has fought some of the best fighters of his generation including; Miguel Cotto and Paul Williams whom he fought twice and came away with one win.  Thurman has not fought anyone worth noteing.  He has a ton of power but has never been tested.  He will definatley be tested tonight by the always tough Quintana.  I am picking Carlos Quintana to win via majority decision.  Although I do think Quintana will hit the canvass at some point.
